Following the loss of a last-gasp equaliser at Musselburgh on Wednesday night, a frustrating week for us ended with a defeat at a wet Keir’s Park yesterday afternoon although the final score was perhaps a little harsh after we largely controlled a goal-less first half. A defensive lapse seconds after the break led to a scrambled opening goal and chances came and went at both ends before an unfortunate own goal by Dale Richardson sealed our fate, with a breakaway third goal in the closing minutes merely rubbing salt into our wounds.
A disappointing afternoon was compounded by an injury sustained by influential midfielder Kenny O’Brien (pictured) in the first half. The full extent of Kenny’s injury is not known yet, although hopefully it does not seem to be quite as serious as first feared.
